Pulses and legumes 

It provides protein, energy, invisible fat, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid, calcium,iron and fibre 

eg: BengaI gram, black gram, cow pea, soyabean 

Milk and Meat products 

It provides with protein, fat, riboflavin, calcium. 

eg: MiIk, cheese, curd, Chicken, liver, fish, egg 

Fruits and Vegetables 

It provides carotenoids, vitamin C, riboflavin, folic  acid, iron,fibre.lt includes green leafy and other vegetables too. 

eg:Mango, guava, amaranth, spinacj, carrot, onion, brinjaI

Fats & Sugars 

It provides with energy, essential fatty acids  and fat soluble vitamins. 

eg: Butter, ghee, jaggery
